$5,026.25
This grant funds the purchase of five cold frames and planting supplies for the Grafflin
gardening area. Cold frames are simple, unheated structures used to protect plants
from cold weather, and extend the growing season. The cold frames will create new
opportunities within the science and sustainability curriculums, offering a hands-on
approach to teaching climate-responsive agricultural practices. The mission is to
foster a generation of environmentally conscious students who are equipped to
become positive stewards of the planet.
